Oct 25, 2022 New Moon — Camaraderie with Awe

This new moon sets the stage for an unmasking of true motives, mobilizationof agendas, and a meltdown of individual boundaries.

This new moon spawns tests of the individual’s ability to maintain composure through overwhelming emotions. At the collective gut level, we’re an individual human family, but at the collective mind level, we’re entwined and encircled, like someone forced into a straightjacket — wrought with conflict, complication, and coercion.

By breathing smoothly and opening; softening into, and deliberately relaxing tension — any individual entity, person or country, can receive the complete energetic upgrade that’s necessary to move safely through this next passage.

Saturn, now direct as of just three days ago (October 22), has spent more time than normal in the 18th+ degree of Aquarius. With new understandings come redefinitions, which are the fenceposts of new techniques and methods to manage and develop our larger roles and authority in the world.

The global escalations over the last few days since Saturn moved direct just a few days ago (on October 22) will likely foreshadow efforts to make up for missteps from the spring of 2022, when Saturn was in its pre-retrograde shadow (from February 26, 2022 to June 4, 2022).

Leaders make up for lost ground, aiming to consolidate new data and establish new directives, possibly seeking to create new public policy, until Saturn moves out of its post-retrograde shadow on January 26, 2023 at 25° 15’ of Aquarius. Redefinitions of interpersonal and intercultural (national) boundaries will become more apparent as Saturn moves through the end of January.

This begs the question — are legitimacy, control, and authority best bestowed by merit and ability, or by majority narrative?

Saturn is moving out of a waning square to Uranus, which is still in retrograde. The re-sculpting I’ve mentioned in recent articles that’s been tiptoeing back and forth for months is finally moving forward, revealing deceptions and inspiring meaningful structural change that unwinds global diplomacy and orchestrates new alliances.

Mars stations retrograde on October 30, 2022, just 5 days from the new moon, and stays in gemini the whole time, until it stations direct on January 8, 2023. This will be an opportunity to reassess our certainty, reassess how clever we actually were in our planning, and reassess the results.

This position, within the greater context of wholeness, reminds me that sometimes you have to go into the fire to go through it and get past it, and that surviving spiritual fire is about allowing the combustion of what’s not you to reveal, purify, and forge your new, true, and upgraded character. This looks to be part of the picture at the coming full moon on November 8, 2022.

The sun and moon will both transit the lunar south node in this segment of the lunar cycle, but then the moon also transits the north node in the final hours before it stands before the penetrating eye of Uranus, which it is in conjunction with by degree at the November 8 full moon.

What Lacks in Buoyancy, Drowns in Deception

Rabbinical commentary on Exodus suggests that the Red Sea does not part until Moses’ brother-in-law walks in, and not until he is completely submerged and Moses holds out his staff, does the water begin to part and offer a path to freedom for an entire people.

Like Moses and his brother-in-law, we’re bravely embarking on a new faith-based initiative (not religious dogma) to train enthusiasm into an invincible dedication. The fortitude of which requires wise-management of discomfort (anxiety), but forges character. Using tools of courage and bravery to stay connected to Truth and Love in the face of destruction forges character.

The opportunity is the dynamic challenge to attend to your light instead of succumbing to the shadows; becoming stale in the stillness, stuck in the sameness. The challenge is the opportunity for the fidgeting nervous mind to cultivate quality light through the reassessment and upgrade. Think of the autoclave, whose job is to pressurize, purify, and sanitize industrial instruments.

At every level, an essential distinction is the use of Power vs. Force, and Pressure vs. Presence. A powerful breath fortifies the breather and moves oceans. A forceful breath overwhelms the target while also overworking the breather; both suffer in the process.

Invite the pressure to clean and clear your presence to make space for welcoming awe.

The dedication we each bring to the cultivation of our Light by clearing out ancient trauma, energizes new inroads for earth to receive her upgrades through us.

Mutualism

Before the coming full moon on November 8, 2022, Jupiter in retrograde will have completely left Aries and retreated to Pisces, joining Neptune, which is retrograde at exactly 23° Pisces.

Jupiter and Neptune are moving in parallel motion and only 7 degrees apart. Jupiter will finish its retrograde on November 23, but in these next few weeks when Jupiter is moving retrograde in Pisces, unfinishable interpersonal business can come up. More on this in upcoming articles.

Guiding some of the madness is another pair in parallel motion and just 4° apart: Uranus and the lunar north node. The nodes are a higher aspect of the moon and Uranus is a higher octave of the moon. The first is a point that represents spiritual energy integration and the latter is about discontinuous and spontaneous insight. They both have a smoothness if you hold onto nothing.

Their extended parallel motion and proximity shows that they are definitely working together over a several-month time horizon to reformat intuition guidance systems for the next 15 years or so, until the next conjunction of Uranus and the lunar north node.

When Uranus stations direct and moves away from the north node on January 22, 2023, I feel like it will do it with the emphatic reminder that true character, built to accept crises and move through them, comes from the heart; that it’s only temporarily stored in the mind.

You’ll always be more prepared for the unexpected when your day is filled with heart centered activities that free your mind to attend completely to whatever shows up.

Neptune’s position and relationship to Pluto suggests that whatever we believe in, what we actually act for, will come to pass.

Basic operating procedures are changing and maybe some of the only things that are true is that we’re all in it together.

Following the metaphors in my recent astrology articles — the airplane, the submarine, the hydrofoil drawn by a giant kite — the balance we strike will be dependent on how we adapt our breathing, and sustain coherence with the moment.

What we focus on, we give our energy to, and substantiate with life force. The opportunity/challenge will be staying present with your heart in the moment, regardless of changing pressures and motion sickness that may be showing up.

These zodiacly close wandering comrades — Jupiter and Neptune, Uranus and the north node — are showing us new ways to relate to unseen realms and immaterial reality. We’re learning to participate more deeply with life by surrendering across a broader interconnectedness.

In Conclusion

With the moon moving out to the crescent phase over the next 6 days, The veil will be quite thin this Halloween.

Whatever happens over this lunar cycle, we’ll come to the next new moon portal on November 23 either overwhelmed and defeated by history repeating itself, or we’ll get there by anchoring into awe, which turns the whole picture on its head and opens consciousness itself to trust in the flow of life.

In this deeper and more transcendent truth based on spiritual principles, a key idea that may serve as medicine for anyone struggling is, be early to forgiveness.

Through forgiveness, we come to a greater, deeper, and more passionately shared connection, which is the essence of Scorpio.
